In fact what has saved JYP was 2015 comebacks. 2PM hax great results with My House, JYP killed charts with Shake that booty and Miss A also killed charts with Only You.

GOT7's Chinese webdrama was super well received and became super popular in China, it assured them many fanmeetings and good selling. Also they had their reality show in Thailand... more from overseas coming a lot.

Twice only got better results withe their 1st comeback in 2016. It was good their success cause in Korea people care more for domestic popularity but moneywise in the end of 2016 got7 were the 3rd breadwinner (behind 2pm and suzy)

There’s a differnce with providing earnings to actual growth esp the extent of JYPE’s growth as a company. 2pm is a group that gave JYPE stability income wise and got7 was able to grow fanbase wise to be able to cover that up before 2pm enlisted one by one.

 

It’s about time people should admit Twice mainly made JYPE’s growth possible considering they were a new group during Cheer Up and yet far from reaching their full potential but they received public recognition and even sales, cfs to back it up and not lacking in any area. Their success in Japan further validated they are yet to reach their peak just look at the graph of expected growth potential from tours JYP released ‘til 2020/2019.

I've been following JYPent success and fails for 10 years, and I'd like to understand why people only credits Twice for JYPent success.

 

Twice recovered JYPent credibility in the domestic market, which was something important and necessary. I'm not gonna mention Twice's achievements, cause we're all pretty aware of them, so I'm gonna mention only the things that you've forgotten that also happened. 

 

- In Jan 2016, JYP won Most Influential Producer at weibo award for his 2015's achievements.  In this same year, JYP signed a partnership with the big company Tencent to debut a C-boygroup. JYP, Fei and Jackson has spent months filming the reality show in China = Tencent has invested in JYPent (unfortunately the reality was not aired due to Korean ban). 

 

 

 

- Mar/2017 GOT7 achieved their highest 1st week sales since debut, the improvement was impressive and ofc investitors came for them.

 

 

 

 

 

GOT7 has been endorsing many brands since their debut. Big brands have been looking for GOT7 members to endorse their products bc they trust in their positive image and sales power. Just recently Mark sold out 2 exclusive clothes collections, and some time ago Bambam was able to make an exclusive collection of a famous clothes brand to be sold out , and also liquidated sausages at Thai supermarkets. 

 

Suzy, Mark, Bambam and Jackson are artists who are able to make a product to sold out. 

 

 

 

When Twice reached the top, there were 2PM (especially Khun), Suzy and GOT7 all doing super well. Twice is surely popular, but they are not in the level of Big Bang to keep up on #2 a company by themselves. Twice is in their 3rd year, but they were not able to have a world tour, while their labelmates had their 1st worldwide tour in their 2nd year. If Twice has Japan, GOT7 has Thailand and China (C-fans bought 200k albums in 1st week). 

 

 

 

 

JYPent was able to go to the top cause they have multiple groups doing well inside the company, just like SM has also had. SM was not #1 bc of SuJu, Shinnee, EXO, SNSD, RV... they're #1 cause they have all these groups doing well, and all at the same time. It's too biased to credit the success of a company only to a group, unless the company is like Big Hit that only has 1 group.
