August 16, Berry Good held a showcase for the release of their first studio album “Free Travel†and talked about their process of preparing the album.

Berry Good’s Gowoon said, “This is the first time that I’ve written a song myself. I showed it to our CEO a couple of times, and I’m not sure if the sincerity of the song was properly relayed to him, but the song ended up being chosen for the album.†On what was difficult during recording, Gowoon said, â€œTaeha was singing it too sadly. Sehyung had had a good take, but it was deleted, so we had to do it again.â€

The group recently hit No. 1 on real-time search results. Johyun said, “We thought that, finally, there was a payoff for working really hard.â€

Johyun also talked about her experience on the audition program “MIXNINE.†She said, “I had gotten last place while filming for ‘MIXNINE.’ I had no choice but to accept the results. I wasn’t good enough, and I needed time to adjust.†But, Johyun said, it wasn’t for nothing. “I think I grew a lot while doing the show. The preparation process was really helpful. Before, when I learned choreography, it was difficult and overwhelming, but for this comeback, it was fun.â€

Johyun continued, “After hearing Yang Hyun Suk’s very real feedback, I became determined to work harder so that I can receive positive feedback, and so I can move others with performances.â€
