Janet Jackson Soars To #1 on iTunes With New Single ‘Made For Now’

Not even 24 hours after releasing her long-awaited new single ‘Made For Now,’ the first lift from her yet-titled follow-up album to 2015’s ‘Unbreakable,’ pop icon Janet Jackson’s returned to familiar territory on the charts:  the top spot.

 

Having just unveiled its Dave Meyers-directed music video at 12a EST, the song’s skipped over the day’s top hits (i.e. Cardi B’s ‘I Like It,’ Drake’s ‘In My Feelings,’ and more) to capture the iTunes Pop charts perch.

As of time reported, the iTunes Pop charts reflects Jackson’s Daddy Yankee-assisted single’s reign.  As it relates to the top 100 songs in full, Janet’s ‘Made’ is the only new song featured in the Aretha Franklin-dominated top 10.  See that chart below:
