TonyAndonuts 2,877
So from what I understand, a fudanshi is the gender opposite of fujoshi. So a male who really enjoys fictional relationships between two men. They're very rare, unless they're gay but...isn't a gay man who really likes male-on-male relationships just...gay? Or no? I mean, I know the main reason I started getting into BL is because I was questioning and exploring my sexuality at the time. And since I like guys, it just seems kinda natural to me that I'd enjoy gay romance stories. It seems different from a straight guy who really likes that stuff. They're rare, but they exist. There's even an anime about it.

_✖✖_ 2,949
I think it's just being gay...people usually enjoy content that's relatable to them or represents them but I heard a lot of gay people don't enjoy those bl stuff since it's to them like straight relationships with just 2 guys they think it's just girl's fantasy and isn't like that in real life
chiirbii 4,760
I'd say yes, if we're talking about someone that enjoys the whole world of yaoi/BL. It's very much it's own thing separate from LGBT fiction and it has it's own tropes and rules. But the biggest difference is that it's primarily made by women and for women. It's certainly unique. ocean berry 290
I honestly don't understand how a "straight" guy can be interested in gay romance. If a guy likes that sort of stuff then there's definitely something there that's relatable to him lol

Kami Nana 1,341
It's the first thing that came to my mind... Shows how unrealistic it is...or how extremely rare. I'm pretty open-minded for a hetero male and even I skim by the male/male sequences in my favorite novel series, The Vampire Chronicles. I find it hard to believe that any straight guy would read or watch anything that was nothing but those kind of scenes.

I couldn't really find a video or anything.

"self-feminization"? lol More like they have subconscious homoerotic fantasies that those stories fulfill for them.
deobizone 7,779
its prob just being gay ig. no offense to anyone who identify themselves that way i kinda correlate those labels (fujoshi, etc.) to sort of people for a fetish bc ive had friends who were that way ~ n homophobic to me, a lesbian.so yeah ig i'd just see a gay person who enjoy it as just gay. i mean its natural to just be drawn to stories that is more relatable sexuality. i used to yuri/gl manga, and ive outgrown that kinda, but i still in general like reading stories of it.
