tearose 1,193 Posted August 16, 2018 Share Posted August 16, 2018 i was driving, alone, to the dentist yesterday and on a sharp curve I slipped and my car ended up rolling down into a ditch. I was hanging upside down and the airbag burnt my hand (the airbag gets hot) but I just got the fuck out of the car as fast as possible. I've heard about people who were fine after their car crashed but the engine caught on fire before they could get out of the wrecked vehicle. It was so fucking scary, I didn't know what was happening and it felt like a movie. The car is completely totaled. The witnesses, the paramedics, my parents, everyone said "You're so lucky to be alive." like holy shit you guys, I almost died. Rollover car accidents are one of the deadliest. Like I almost died. It's been over 24 hours and I'm still in shock and can't even comprehend, you know. My seatbelt saved my life. thank god my car makes annoying sounds when I don't buckle my seatbelt because if I hadn't done that, my head would have smashed against the broken glass window. i just had to type it all out because it's cathartic, and I wanted to share this experience just to show you guys HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO WEAR YOUR GODDAMN SEATBELT. My car doesn't make annoying noise, but I can't stand the red blinking it made when drivers seat belt isn't worn.
