There are no one who watches TV and who have never heard of "Pick Me" and "Nayana" those are all songs we know, but no one would know what "Naegoya" is unless you actually follow Produce48. And do they even have a legendary stage? The first season had Bang Bang and Growl, the 2nd season had Shape of You and Never, etc. but Produce48 has nothing ã…‹

They are definitely different from the last 2 seasons, they just smelled like doom. They're already in their 2nd half of the show, but there's not a single stage that the general public is buying. Compare those kids on the show with other idols around and they're all below average. I don't know whether they'll do good overseas, but they won't be able to make it in Korea for sure

The rankings make no sense. They literally drastically change every week, how is anyone supposed to believe this is the public voting when a girl from like #3 to #28 in one week and another girl goes from like #25 to #1 in one week like lol

 

In season 1 and 2 you can tell who the public actually favored because their rankings began to stabilize and there were tons of posts about specific people. With this season, every week has a drastically different ranking from the last. It makes no sense. I've lost interest in the show, I just hope Minju and Yujin end up in it to piss people off lmao

it's definitely not as nearly as popular as the last 2 seasons but it's definitely not a fail. They still top naver videos, search ranking so that's something. Mix9 and Idol school are what you call failed shows. Pd48 is just simply not as successful as their predecessors.

The no visuals thing is bullshit. I actually see more visuals in this season than in S1-S2.

 

The problem is that the format is getting old and people are burned out. It also doesn't help that the favoritism towards certain contestants is too obvious and that a lot of scenes are repetitive (for example, the tired scene in which a team does bad at first and "get nagged" by the mentors but they eventually get better, it's basically the same with every single team).

Rather than the ratings, the buzz is just not there. Produce 101 S2 was so hyped last year, especially in the middle to later episodes. It was constantly trending online and you could not escape it in SK. People couldn't stop talking about the trainees and their scandals and how good they or their stages were.

 

S1 was the founding season but even then, there was a lot of chatter around it. And most of all, both seasons had a bunch of topics that people talked about in relation to it. On the other hand, this season, the same arguaments are discussed from ep 1 to now. There is no variety.
