That's interesting. It's kind of catch 22, if they raise taxes then it would cause backlash from the public and rock the status quo. So the best option would be develop new land but stop the bidding process and have set priceson land  to stop the living space prices sky rocketing and maybe slowly raise taxes to subsidize.

 

I stayed in a capsule for a bit in Japan. It was fun! Although they weren't as cool as those capsules. The shared shower and bathroom areas were interesting. Cue some guy drying himself butt naked with a hairdryer....

that's horrible. HK is one of the fastest growing economies in asia but this growth was achieved at a terrible cost. the real victims of the free market economy are the people who are supposed to "benefit" from it :/
