Apparently they're suing the girls as well: Xuanyi, Meiqi and Zining too. There's a rumor going on that Yuehua/Mavericks pushed the bale on the girls, saying that they are the ones who want to promote with their original groups, but take this with a grain of salt, Tencent probably knows they weren't the ones who made the decision. 

 

 

Meanwhile an SNH48 staff has revealed that Tencent's contract was very comprehensive and it included exclusive rights over the members for 2 years. This is the reason why SNH48 didn't participate, but I guess Yuehua/Mavericks didn't read the terms and conditions.

well mei qi and xuan yi's careers in china are over....guess they're stuck in a C tier group with zero screentime or lines and no shot at individual popularity in korea

Why? The C-netz don't take scandals seriously, unlike K-netz. They may continue with their activities in media platform which aren't owned by Tencent...

If the "exclusive" contract is real, the girls can't really take solo projects without Tencent permission then. I was hopeful that they still can doing solo activities after the messed cuz there is no exclusive contract to bond them (so the companies/broadcastation that want to work with them wont get sue).

Seriously, it is better to just suck it up for 2 yrs. Although the relationship likely so bad now for the girls with Tencent and may even get shitty treatment, both will need to tolerate each other.

If this is really in the contract, then Yeuhua is screwed. ohdearplz.png And if they really tried to psh the girls under the bus while running, I have no words for them.

And the people were saying Yuehua's CEO treated them like their mums & blah blah...

It was all fake it seems...

The situation now: TenCent, iQiYi, Youku,... are all against YueHua. So it's pretty much bye bye all online media platform. Not to mention in China right now, they are trying to limit the appearance of idols that come from survival shows. They (iQiYi, TenCent,...) even update their official Weibo with status to throw shade at YueHua. Cnetz calling YueHua "DogHua".

Tencent really did relese the official statement in the OP 

 

Tencent is really going to sue Yuehua, Mavericks and the girls (each one of them)

 

The Tencent's official statement posted in the OP together with articles about the issues are being posted by several "serious and credible" names like Sina on Weibo

 

There are people doing speculations now like saying Tencent is planning to block Yuehua's artists besides Meiqi and Xuanyi from everything linked to them
