Why is California always on fire?

because of the 90+ degree heat and lots of dry brush, though in the case of the Holy Fire (so named because it started in Holy Jim Canyon) that one was started by an arsonist.

Also there's the fact that California (at least SoCal, idk about NorCal) doesn't do what's called "prescribed fires", which is a controlled burning set intentionally by trained professionals to reduce the damage from wildfires.
