[Leaking Nudes] Discrimination between men and women in Korean courts?

yesterday i came across two articles in regards to people posting nude photos without the consent of the individual

Case #1: Art student gets 10-month jail term for leaking colleague's nude photo

- 25 year old woman gets 10 month jail sentence

- Charged in May for taking photos, w/o consent, of a male colleague while he was nude (posing for a painting i believe)

- Leaked photos on a radical feminist website

Case #2: Man fined for posting photos of naked girlfriend

- A man in his 20s fined 2 million won ($1,758)

- Took photos, w/o consent, of his girlfriend while having sex

- Leaked photos on Ilbe

in case #2 the court stated since it was the man's first offense, which it also was for the female student, he deserved a lower sentence. they also stated that the girlfriend had asked for leniency.

both cases are exactly the same except the gender. the only difference is in case 2 the victim asked for leniency. however there is still such a huge gap between both verdicts.

i've been following the recent epidemic in korea of women being filmed without consent and having their photos and vids leaked. case #2 is just one example of how men who commit these crimes usually just get a slap on the wrist and a small fine.

now after hundreds of cases in recent months a woman gets charged and receives a harsh verdict (AS SHE SHOULD)

her verdict honestly surprised me since i thought korea was lenient on this type of crime seeing the verdict of past cases

i'm into these types of discussions so wanted to know your guys' thoughts? is this just an exception or do you believe there is a gender bias in the courts in regards to sex crimes.

i don't read korean hence my sources are pretty limited, so if you have anything to counter my argument that women are not at a disadvantage in the courts i'd love to see!

and please don't be rude if you think i said something wrong, these are just some thoughts that came to mind when seeing both articles next to each other, i'm not an expert nor am i firm on my position.
