Its a themed album series (albeit loosely in some regards) around the stages of self acceptance. LY:Her was about a delusional love. LY:Tear was breaking out of the delusion and LY:Answer is the resolution. If you start with these albums from Her you'll see what I mean about the theme of the album. Maybe check out the artist thread? The lyrics are very special to me and I think everyone can relate in one way or another!As for things to get to know them.. Watch the RUN episodes. Also, I'd say watch American Hustle Life. It's kind of a polarizing era for for most fans but I think it's the funniest thing I've ever seen lol.Aside from that, your questions about where to START with their storyline and whatnot.. Like people said love yourself is a 4 part series (3 albums, 1 standalone video) that deals with the stages of to accept and love yourself Her was the first part but the series was first introduced through a series of mysterious blog posts, facebook pages and instagram posts about a flower shop called "smeraldo" (kinda like their own AU). If you like reading and theories you could read up on that but if not then skip it and you can watch the highlight reel instead which was released before Her also though love yourself is its own series the story does seem to connect with the HYYH series, but all this is only if youre interested in the theories and lore 2. Variety: For a lot of people they started with bangtan bombs, just a series of short videos uploaded on the youtube channel of random moments behind the scenes and stuff. from the varieties rookie king was the first variety, its not a bad place to start, and you kind of feel like you watch them grow as people when you start from the beginning but some people avoid recommending the initial stuff cause it can get a lil cringey Run BTS is awesome. 20-30 minute episodes of them doing a whole bunch of stuff fom sports to games to karaoke to skits. and theres a LOT of it they have some random appearances on variety shows here and there like weekly idol or star 360 and stuff like that if you are interested. For song recommendation, there are a lot. But here are some of my top favorite tracks. Start from the start i guess fsadfksdg Run! has +50 episodes (i love the amusement park episode, so you could start from that one lol); gayo has like 11 episodes and they play music related games. I'm sure there are ppl who can go into detail as seen above but a lot of people just roll with it. Recs have been given based on you liking serendipity but I just wanted to highlight rapline and some of their harder hitting songs real quick. Rapline are not just the designated rappers of the group but they make up the backbone of BTS imo since they write most if not all of the things they say. They're incredibly talented and smart.
