btw i hope shane gets to do high budget documentaries someday because he is soooo good at this kind of content

I agree I liked how in the first part he actually showcased about Jeffree music career I think if I haven’t watched that episode I wouldn’t even know that Jeffree had a music career 10 years ago I always knew him as a beauty guru, I’m surprised.

I need to watch it. I know people like to villainize him because he's had a problematic past, but I also like giving people the benefit of the doubt if I feel like they've made and effort to change in positive ways. Plus, I think he's hilarious.

I really think everyone needs to watch it. The battery acid thing was completely misconstrued which he explained in the last part. I think I even watched that video during his MySpace days. I was in my 20s during his heyday during MySpace so I remember how popular he was.

A lot of people love to hate him and I was one of those people but this series opened my eyes to who he actually he is. He's not that angry person he was on Myspace and he's not the monster people have made him out to be in the past four years.

Yes and I loved it. Shane did a fucking good job getting Jeffree comfortable enough to open up as much as he did. It was interesting to see him in a different light compared to how he usually presents himself.

What about when he called Jackie a rat?

They didn't talk about that but Shane mentioned something about his feuds with WOC. Jeffree said people never brought up the fact that he feuded with over 30 people different races and people only focused on two WOC because they already made up their minds about him. I think he said two. He said he was deeply sorry about anything he's said that is offensive.

I mean as a black woman it's hard for me to really be like "okay Jeffree I forgive you" but a lot of the stuff people have used against him were extremely twisted. Shane edited in the videos that people were talking about and it was the battery acid one and the one where he apparently chased black women. The first one was twisted so badly. He wasn't talking about a black woman. He was talking about someone with the wrong foundation shade. Never mentioned a black woman. And the second woman...they were white women he was chasing after they called him hate names.

But I'm not here to change your mind on him because that's you and your opinion.

I did, I think it was a good watch. Would also recommend others to watch.

I agree with OP. He has done shitty things but looking at him now I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he is really trying to change for the better. He has apologized and tried explaining himself and where he is coming from. I'm also really glad that he is willing to open up to the public, mental health issues is very important and with this I hope more people will be more open talking about this stuff. I'm sure it's not easy for the people he's hurt in the past to forgive him or look past what he's done and it's also very valid. At the end of the day it is people's own choice to see him in which light.

yes honestly i throughly enjoyed every second of the series. it was inspiring learning about the secret of jefrree star's life and how he got rich after going through struggles, name calling and self harm. i changed my outlook on him from believing he was an obnoxious rich monster to someone who was instead vulnerable and hardworking. wish there was a part two on this because it ended too fast!

Yeah I did and I was disappointed.  The self-harm part and Shane's reaction was so fucking dumb, you can tell that he used the clips of Jeffree talking about SH to built up the suspense in the 'teasers' so he'd get more views.  His reaction was just so gross...esp when Shane was all, "OH MY GOD JEFFREE WHAT THE FUCK" aka over exaggerating to put the attention on himself instead of putting the attention on Jeffree who was trying to talk about SH openly and honestly.

You can totally tell tho that the fame has gotten to Shane's head and he stays deluded believing that he's actually Oprah.  He's become so annoying and money hungry which is sad bc I used to love his videos.  And of course I gotta laugh when people say that these vlogs are 'documentaries' and should be on Netflix....bahahahahaha.

Of course women of color would be more interested in his guess with women of color. That's a given, lol.
