We all know Red Velvet change it up every comeback and they're known/tend to have two different sides to their music

so which one do you prefer?

Examples of their velvet side;

and one of these nights

Examples of their red side;

and red flavor

For me although I like their velvet tracks, overall I think I enjoy their red side more

i prefer songs with more complex emotions, so i often prefer "velvet side" or whatever bullshit PR the company uses (Automatic/Be Natural, Bad Boy, One of These Nights)

though sometimes their more upbeat songs deal with complex emotions as well, like Happiness (which pretends like it's simple but is actually layered) and Red Flavor, so both "sides" are pretty close.

favorite song is probably Peek-A-Boo which doesn't perfectly align with either and does what it wants.

you might appreciate Power Up too after this

i'm sad SM didn't go full fledge and make that 'Banana' line being 'Banhana' (meaning 'falling in love')
