Guest Posted August 5, 2018 Share Posted August 5, 2018 about 6 months ago, i logged into tumblr and it said my blog had been terminated. i can't revive my account. they keep sending this 'magic link' which apparently helps me log into tumblr, but it doesn't do anything for me. i don't recall doing/posting anything bad and i never got a warning from the staff, so i don't understand why they terminated it. every time i try to contact the staff about it, i never get a reply (and i've been contacting them for half a year now). i've tried to make a new account, but it says that my email is already in use? can anyone help me? i've had my blog for nearly 2 years, i don't really want to lose it. If you promote stuff like lose weight and spam stuff, you will get your account terminated without warning. Sometimes tumblr has glitches that terminates accounts for no reason. They always ignores you. Most popular and big accounts lost their accounts and tumblr staff never replied. My blog once got flagged for nsfw even tho i never reblogged anything like that and it took them 2 years and half to reply and unflag and saying it was a mistake from them. Chu chu~ 2,534 Posted August 5, 2018 Share Posted August 5, 2018 My blog got terminated 3 years ago cos I was posting audios of songs without thinking about copyright. Apparently they sent me emails warning me about them, if you get three warnings within 18 months you get your account terminated. I realised later they had sent the emails but I just thought it was spam cos back then you used to get so many fake emails about posting bad content when you hadn't. I feel like back then the way of contacting Tumblr was so much easier. When I emailed them about why my blog was terminated I got a reply really quickly, within a day or two. My advice is to keep emailing them until you get a reply, and perhaps try different ways of contacting them. I haven't done it recently but there used to be different emails for different things, or just choosing different options as a way of getting through to them. I had my blog almost 5 years when they deleted it, I was so upset. The best thing is just making a new account (different email ofc) and starting afresh, cos 3 years down the line it feels better.
