I've never heard of that what's an NGO?

NGO is short for "Non-governmental organization", it's an organization that makes no profit - unlike a company. Its only goal is making social or politicial changes.

For example, my NGO's goal is to help children who can't see

What cause does it fight for?

it's like a human rights ngo focusing on womens rights, childrens rights, etc! they also do a lot of feeding programs in rural areas. the work they do is super fulfilling!

That does sound rewarding, I am considering joining a similar NGO that has listening sessions for abused women and that also builds schools in super isolated areas ;-;

Are you in Uni or graduated?

i've finished uni so i'm taking up grad studies now! wow that sounds really fun! one thing i like about ngos is how you get to interact with so many different people, & learn their stories and struggles. somehow it makes me feel like i have a purpose in life w/c is to help others haha

honestly, i've always wanted to work permanently at an ngo, the only thing that's holding me back is the low pay. for now, i just plan on interning while i study
