KPop songs w/ modulations in them?

Please recommend me some. I'm getting tired of listening to 3 minute songs that revolve around the same basic 4 chords and generic chord progression.

It can be a title track or b-side or solo or whatever.

One example (although not KPop) is Beyoncé's Love on Top that opens in C major and then transposes from Db to D to Eb to E.

Queen.

I don't know much about music but I think this OST produced by Zico and sang by Kang Seungyoon and MINO is pretty interesting but it's totally different from love on top !! Hope you like it :

Also AKMU Re bye a masterpiece:

Maybe this? idk

Thanks for the recommendation. It's close, there are some Gm chords from the 2:00 mark onwards but it never really secured the modulation, there were more like influxes in a very solid F#m song. It was a fun listen tho.

Yes! There is a well-composed prepared modulation at 0:45. In fact the whole song has some great chord sequences. Thanks for introducing it to me!

AKMU's Re-Bye doesn't seem to have any modulations in it but I do like all the seventh chords, it's very jazz-influenced.

This is what I thought of first, idk if it counts

Not quite, unless I missed something out. The instrumental part before the rap verse is confusing though so I can see why it gives off a a feeling of a modulation. Thanks anyway, I need to get into AKMU more, they have a lot of great songs.

Go from minor to suddenly major during the chorus

Thank you!

There's a list at

Here's one example:

Thanks so much for the list, I forgot about Red Velvet's One of These Nights.

How could I have forgotten Gain's Carnival?! One of my favourite releases of 2016.

Almost forgot about this great one - I believe the modulation happens at the end but overall I thought it was a great song

How have I never heard this before? I swear I'm living under a rock. Thanks so much! The modulation was neat and the song overall has a cool vibe. I loved the synthesiser breakdown.

Oh my bad, no problem chuplz.png I know what you mean but I'm not great with all the technical music stuff so I'm probably still off but this is my last attempt to get at least one right lmao

No worries haha and yes Missing You modulates. I can't believe I didn't remember this one, it goes into the major key at 1:03 What a beautiful break through from the minor.

None in Kara's Cupid I'm afraid.

Omg this was such an abrupt modulation at 0:33, it took me completely off-guard! There was no preparation into it, that's such an unusual choice but yep it's definitely a modulation.

Thanks for sharing these MVs with me! :)
