To OHers who play shooting games...

Do you know any shooting games where reloading is actually

realistic? I really prefer shooting games where when you reload you ACTUALLY discard

the entire clip (and the remaining bullets are gone) and you put in a new one.

It's just one of my pet peeves where people fire 3 shots and then reload, fire 3 shots

then reload; almost like reloading fetish.

Ah yeah, I get what you mean. It's only annoying for me when it's in a more realistic game as opposed to just an FPS multiplayer game. Like in The Last of Us, I'd rather they made reloading realistic.

But hey! At least shooters don't copy Reaper and throw away their guns to reload.

Halo series maybe? Because from what i seen and being someone who played the game before, i think the reloading part is pretty realistic? (Mostly on the humans' weapons and some of the Covenant's weapons like Carbine and etc)

I haven't played Arma in so long but out of all the first person shooter games I've played that one has the most accurate reloading where it doesn't just run out after a few shots fired

Escape from Tarkov and Dayz do that, you'll have the partially empty mag in your inventory afterwards, so you're like "relax, I have 5 mags" but they all only have 2 or 3 bullets in them, d'oh! Tarkov can be tricky because if you double tap R you do a fast reload and drop the old mag on the ground and are often left wondering where all your mags went when you go to reload them.

I really like that mechanism. That way you can reload other magazines/clips with the leftover one or two rounds from each spent one when you have the time.
