literally tilted 6,595 Posted July 27, 2018 Share Posted July 27, 2018 These are comebacks from June - Now The one's I liked: See Sea - Hyolyn A little bit biased, but I feel like Hyolyn's building a distinct sound that sets her apart as an artist and idol. I love the direction she's going towards and hope she continues to release more music. I'm So Sick - Apink I haven't been a fan of their output post Remember, but this was definitely a comeback for them musically for me. Ddu-Du Ddu-Du - Black Pink What can I say? I've liked Black Pink's limited discography prior, and I'm trash for trap beats. Something New - Taeyeon Very experimental for her and a great follow up to My Voice. I've been a stan since day 1. The Meh: Egoistic - Mamamoo I'm on the fence on this one? All their songs sound great in the beginning but they don't really age well for me, Egoistic isn't an exception. I liked the latin influences on this song though. Baam - Momoland Bboom Bboom was cute, though it really seems like they're following a recipe now. Sunny Summer - Gfriend I really don't know how I feel about this song. It's not amazing but it's not bad yet it's distinctly Gfriend. The Ones I Found Disappointing: Retro Future - Triple H I liked the chorus. That's it. I understand their concept but the MV was so awkward that it kind of made me dislike the song a bit more. Truly an Xtina's Accelerate tea. Dance the Night Away - Twice Twice is a conflicting group for me. I didn't really like Cheer Up or TT but enjoyed literally everything else. Dance the Night Away was a music departure for them but the only thing I liked was the chorus, everything else was a miss. I'm really curious where they'll go next. Love U - Chungha EDM has always been a hit or miss for me. The genre doesn't really age well and it's really easy to sound generic. Love U sounds a bit generic and there's definitely rehashes of her previous title tracks. I enjoyed how far her voice improved from Why Don't You Know though. Semina - Gugudan Semina I didn't really know what to expect but nothing really stood out for me on this song. pururin 14,348 Posted July 27, 2018 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Liked: See Sea - loved it from first listen. it's so fresh, dreamy, sweet, nice to sing along, bitch i love her, 10/10 I'm So Sick - at first i didn't like it much, sounded a bit messy, but it got stuck in my head anyways... after listening to it non stop i'm convinced it's a certified bop. first apink song that's memorable to me. 8/10 Egotistic - loved from first listen, tho i admit i got bored of it quickly. still a great song though, also the first mamamoo song i actually like. it's so catchy, and i love the latin vibe, although some groups have released latin inspired songs this still felt unique for kpop. 9/10 Meh: DDDD - only like the chorus and the part at the end. probably my least fave title track from them along with whistle. forever young is a much better song. Retro Future - love the chorus, love hui's voice and hyuna's verses. but it's too repetitive, feels like something is missing. Something New - it's an alright song, not my style. the mv is great though Baam - can't really remember what that sounds like rn but i didn't hate it. bboom bboom is still better Disappointing Dance The Night Away - first twice single that i really disliked. even controversial signal grew on me, but i don't think there's hope for this one, i'll just wait for their next comeback Sunny Summer, Semina, Love U - not into them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Blackpink - Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du A really strong and surprising beat. I admit, the long waiting was worth it. Lovelyz - Wag-Zak Not a big fan of typical summer songs, but Wag-Zak is really relaxing and fresh! Twice - Let’s Dance the Night Away Some parts are quite catchy, especially the chorus, but the verses weren’t my cup of tea. It’s still a fun song you definitely jam to with friends!
