I watched the episode and even though my understanding of Korean is limited, from what I did get Lee Kyung Kyu's actions were uncomfortable. I get the sense that he's extremely patriarchal. He automatically assumed Solar was fine with cooking and didn't even offer her help. Then the elders just sat down when Solar was running about serving them even though she was the guest! 

 

Seriously, it pissed me off. And of course Solar was all smiles and cheerfully sang when they told her to because they're her elders and LKK is her senior but even in East Asian culture, younger guests are treated well. 

 

Every time I see LKK on shows he acts so poorly, he doesn't bother to learn who's guesting on the show and he's very rude, not funny rude like Defconn and Heechul but actually just rude. Even Kang Ho-dong has improved his attitude but despite all the criticism LKK gets from KNetz he never changes. 

 

Rant over. TL;DR: LKK is a dick.

Lee Kyung Kyu is such a bad personality. I don't understand why people would want to watch him if he doesn't add anything? Everything is like pulling teeth with him. Put patriarchal relics like him in the ground already please.

 

Just the basic assumption that it is ok for Solar to be there to do the dishes pisses me off so much lol

God LKK pissed me off so much!! How patriarchal and stuck up can you be? He's only ever "nice" when people are praising him or are his diehard fans.

 

Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode! During the Hwasa parts I laughed so much ~I forgot how to breathe! I agree with all the comments and I really admire the girls- for how kind and funny they were and how they tried their best to lighten up the mood (even tho LKK is the biggest dick ever) 

 

This episode also really shows what Hwasa's ideal type is. She said before how she likes strong and older men but it was so clearly shown haha. Her eyes literally sparkled when the husband came in, when they talked about their son and marriage etc. It makes a lot of sense really because usually we derive our ideal type from our parents and she talked how they really reminded her of her parents back home (the husband was the same age as her dad, the wife had the same name as Hyejin's mom).

 

I swear that everything Hyejin eats looks so delicious and not surprised she causes food crazes all the time haha. I also find it cute she uses many western references that sometimes leave everyone confused (Milan, Greece, Renaissance, Arnold Schwartzenegger and more)
