Wow, this thread moves fast.

 

So, he didn't write the lyrics for Begin. But the story behind it - what actually happened - is even better than if he had written the lyrics himself. At least for me. He's been one of my biases since like 1 year ago, but this comeback is really making me realize how much I actually love him. I can perfectly understand now why the members love him and dote on him as much as they do. Sometimes he doesn't look like it, but he really is a sweet 19 year old boy.

 

He just turned my day into an emotional mess. Just the mental image of him trying to write the lyrics and struggling, and asking for help and then sharing his feeling and then crying is making me want to sob.

I want to see Kook going solo one day – and I’m sure it’s also one of his personal goals/dreams – but I think it’s a little too soon.

 

BTS as a group needs to solidify its position in the industry first. They’re doing good, but they’re not there yet. And I think Kook has to grow up a little more – both as an artist and as a person. It’s really different promoting with another 6 members than doing it on your own.

 

He debuted when he was 15 and he’s now 19. He’s been on the industry for quite some time. But I still see him as that guy who needs someone by his side to guide him – at least when he’s not performing on stage. He’s really quiet on interviews, because that’s his personality, and it doesn’t really matter because he has the other members to fill in the silence. But he wouldn’t have them if he did solo promotions. So, I think he needs to improve that – his persona in front of the cameras and out of the stage. I’m not saying he needs to change the way he is, he just has to overcome his shyness a little bit. A lot of the times – not so much as before, tho – some of the other members have to push him a little so that he says something.

 

As an artist, I think he already knows where he wants to go. So that’s not an issue. But I always worry for vocal line’s singing techniques, Kook included. They really should do something about this if any of them want a future solo. And I don’t personally know him but Kook not wanting to improve is something I find hard to believe. I’m sure he wants to be the best he can be at everything he does. His technique now is not that much different from debut, I admit that. I don’t blame it on him not wanting to improve, I blame it on whoever is teaching him, and the rest of vocal line for that matter because they haven’t shown much improvement either.

 

I believe Kook, alongside RM, is the most suitable in BTS to pursue a solo career. But, if he and BigHit take a step forward in this matter in 2017, I think it would be a mistake. I don’t think he’s ready. He will be, but not now.

I don't think that improving his vocal technique is that important? Yeah i know he has problems here and there but i like his voice the way it is and let's be honest here if some people didn't point out he is a weak vocalist some of us wouldn't have know about it. People in general doesn't care about technique, only kpop fans cares because they want to have something to bring others down.

 

I don't want Kook to improve his vocal technique so that I can brag about how I stan a great vocalist. I want him to do it because a poor vocal technique can actually damage his vocal chords. This is not about us, the fans. It's about him and about what can be beneficial for him in the long run. I love his voice and that's why I want him to get proper vocal technique lessons, so that I can keep hearing his voice for years and years without the feat that, maybe, he's hurting himself. It's not like his voice/tone is gonna change.

 

This is just my point of view, but I'd like to think it's the common sentiment among all people who want Kook to improve.

Jungkook really doesn't share his thoughts or emotions usually, and I think that can make some people misunderstand him and his personality. But he is one of the sweetest guys.

 

When people start wondering if he's matured along these years, I just look at this past month and ask myself how can anyone still have doubts. He's grateful to his members. He has probably always been. But he's been able to tell them exactly that. They had a heart to heart conversation and he opened up. And I can't imagine 17 year old Jungkook doing that. Much less, talking about it on a TV show. 

 

He has come so far as an artist/idol, but so so much more as a person. Proud is not enough to express how I feel.

Also, I'm glad he's going to his graduation. I think it's an important day. Mine was shitty, but I'd probably go again if I were 17 again. I hope his family/Bangtan can attend, tho. That's what makes graduations good - being with your close ones.

I think I'm in an official love-hate relationship with Kook's hair. He's gonna look good either way, but yeah...
