bustamimes 317
I don't get it. It seems like the singer's talking about a friend who scammed them out of some money/stole their identity so now the singer has a bad rep/people think she's a criminal. bustamimes 317
I don't get this line though? "A man from China* asked me for a bank account number" I think that's again referring to how people now think she's some shady person that can get them fake bank info, etc. As for the China part, I'm not 100% sure of the significance, but I'm thinking it's trying to add to the feeling of shadiness. In older Korean literature, Manchuria (where a lot of Korean people settled in the 20th century) has often been used as a metaphor for lawlessness, wild frontier, mystique, etc. So I'm guessing some of those attitudes carry over into the present day as well.
