What is masculinity like where you live?

In South India, most people don't tend to care about sport - you can say that they even look down on sports - so the men are usually either fat or skinny, hence they don't have this concept of thinking that athletic or muscular men are more "masculine" and "attractive".

I know that in East Asia something similar happens because you see a lot of skinny guys - ditto in Continental Western Europe. Furthermore, the cosmetics industry in CWE and EA are far more developed and cater for men on many levels.

In the PH, if you're a male like me and tends to love kpop more than anyone else, you'll be judged as gay and they'll never dig upon to the very reason why there's teenage boys like me who love kpop more than Western sex-affiliated songs, or those "urban-trendy songs" our PH rappers produce.

Wearing make up is prohibited. You need to know basketball since every man should know how to play the sport even if you major in other sports. The father in the family should be the one working or else you'll be judged as worthless since your wife is the upperhand in the family. If the man has no say aginst his wife, he'll be otherwise called as "under the saya" or being controlled by his wife.

Your preferred drink needs to be beer, you need to be a fan of soccer and you need to like music sung/rapped in dutch, none of that foreign stuff.

As for dating, you either have 1 girl whom you are loyal to and treat with respect or you sleep around as much as possible, which of these is preferable really depends on whom you ask.

To be fair no one is overly hung up on masculinity in my country so long as you don't act overly effeminate and avoid wearing make up and even then most people will give it a pass.
