Has the typhoon issue affected Mamamoo's chart performance?

AUSTIN POST

Recommended Posts

I've read something here wherein a moomoo blaming shaun for mamamoo's egoistic chart performance. But that was not likely the reason since 3 other GG still performing well (Apink, twice, and BP).

Do you guys think that the wheein issue is atleast slightly hurting their career?

Edit: I understand that they're not doing that bad but if you will look to their past releases even Yes I Am. This is their lowest ever.

I don't think Wheein's issue was so severe that it would affect them in the charts.

Especially since she deleted that post almost immediately after the typhoon struck.

They also have Hwasa getting them even more gp interest for her tripe mukbang.

It reminds me of their decalcomanie era? again. It didn't do "well" at first, but it rise later. Just maybe the GP aren't into that kind of songs, it might not be related to Wheein's "scandal" at all.

i don't think so. competition is just fiercer now and this new latin sound of them seems didn't resonated that well.  they're not even doing bad, in comparison, decalcomanie was out of top15 in its first two weeks. their promotion will start soon and hopefully they will rise

starry night peaked at no. 2

no it peaked no. 1 coupled with some roof-hits

Apink TWICE and BP all released their song before the rise of shaun to the top, hence those songs have already gained traction and have their listeners.

Mamamoo's song was released on the very day shaun made it's way to the top. And as you can see ALL the releases this week (Bolbaggan4, Chungha, Gfriend) are affected on melon, the biggest chart despite all of them being historically good digitally.

If you don't see the difference you are just plain stupid.

Oh wait you already are since you started this thread oops.

First, Bb4 release is a hidden track, not promoted and just announced a week ago. Second, Chungha is doing pretty good in other charts even surpassed mamamoo (sad). Lastly, Gfriend is not doing well digitally since 2016, well except their reversal song.

The only difference I see. Is how idol group stans like you pin the blame of your groups failure to someone.

and ULs doesn't work that way. In fact mamamoo should have more Uls than those older releases because people will likely check it out.

But didn't happen

I guess the typhoon made the people really really sad :( No time to listen to some growling.
