Homosexuality wasn’t politicized until around early 20th century, why, because it was then problematized. Acknowledging sexual diversity equals acknowledging individual autonomy and freedom which is opposite of everything repressive political dogma strives for, which makes lgbt’s existence with or without a political platform, dangerous for those who seek to control and maintain by oppressive authority.
