when you see a post or topic you disagree with, are you more likely to confront that user (quote them) and argue with them or just neg them?

 

why and when do you do one instead of the other?

I'll confront if I'm passionate enough about the issue at hand or if I think I have something worthwhile to add to the conversation. If not, ignore. I don't like to neg unless I'm really pissed off.

Neg. People on oh cant really 'properly' argue and they always end up going too far which results in the thread getting locked or something. So there kinda isnt a point in arguing

Confrontation sounds too aggressive for my tastes, I think of it as more of a dispute. 

Troll arguments - automatic neg/ignore 

Regular arguments which I can understand but disagree with - dispute only

It's depend. Trolls troll for attention and don't mind getting negs so I won't waste my time on them.

 

However if it is a non-troll and he/she put out something I disagree with, I will confront them
