Radical feminist group attacks Catholicism, Islam

WOMAD, a radical feminist group, has claimed one of its members burned a copy of the Quran, the central religious text of Islam.

The person who posted a picture of the burning Quran Wednesday said, "Muslim cockroaches and Korean men should be eliminated."

It is unclear whether she actually burned the text and, if so, how she obtained it.

This came just a day after another member posted a photo of a Catholic sacramental wafer scribbled with foul language in red ink.

Following the news, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea (CBCK) denounced the posting as a serious insult to the Catholic Church and vowed to take action in response.

"In accordance with Catholic regulations, the CBCK is preparing the process to notify the Vatican through the Vatican ambassador in Seoul," said priest Ahn Bong-hwan, spokesman of the CBCK.

Under the motto, "We hate all men," WOMAD has gained notoriety for bashing religions and men since its 2016 inception.

On the overseas-based website, it is easy to find insults of all kinds against men, including religious figures, celebrities and even animals, as well as cruel photos such as those of mutilated male genitals.

They claim women have been treated unfairly in Korean society.

I hope it helped her to feel herself better.

But burning books is never a solution. Usually educated people remind us how uneducated ones in middle ages used to burn books. So, it's kinda symbol of ignorance I think.

Sorry for my bad English.

This. You want equality and respect but don't respect other people and their beliefs. The irony.

they’re radicals. As a feminist myself, I don’t really care what religion you follow. And I certainly don’t think men are inferior to women. People like them give feminist a bad name

If they actually had something worth listening to they wouldn't need these kind of idiotics to get attention.

The Quran doesn't have that many pages unless it's an extreeeeemlyy small one. I doubt it's the real thing

Making a complete fool out of yourself isn't going to make others respect you....

Looks more like a bible to me. But I have a quran which is kinda bulky as it comes with original text in arab, english translation and commentary all in one.

I think it’s fair for feminist to critique Islam / Abrahamic religions,

But this is just awful, saying muslim/korean men need to be eliminated is just mental this is not the way to do it

Basically. And not just Abrahamic religions but all religions, beliefs and ideologies. Criticize even atheism, even though atheists are the most likely to not care or take it as a compliment. Go ahead, pour your heart out. But don’t ever cross into promoting violence, death, extremism etc. of any of them. That’s not criticism anymore, that makes you a public danger and the sooner you are investigated, the better. Talk to a psychologist to prescribe you some pills, it’s not healthy to harbor so much hate. Go to therapy for anger managment. People are not safe with those who think like you around. This isn’t the right way.

Yes, this. Okay to be against a religion but not okay to be against the PEOPLE of the religion.
