I saw so much DNA praise by non fans who were mute when it came out, just so they could say Fake Love sucks. People aren't willing to be positive if its not their faves, unless there's a catch. As for fans, the album grew on a lot of people imo. Not everyone of course.The very happy vibes and the edm threw lots off at first. I have been a staunch HER and DNA supporter for awhile now. All the songs in it are A+, there's not one filler song in it. You have Best of Me (why does this song receives so much hate? It has one of their best hooks ever), Dimple, Pied Piper, Go Go, Mic Drop and Sea all in one album. I mean???? Not to mention Serendipity aka their best intro ever. I get DNA wasn't their strongest title track, but I feel like a lot of people immediately associated their dissapointment with album and I just. Don't. Get. It. I get taste is subjective, but cmon!! I think, other than the hatred of DNA, a lot of the criticism has to do with some songs being too pop/edm. There was a lot of hate for pop/edm in the fandom even months after LY Her was released and people worried LY Tear would be edm too. I can understand why people would not like that type of music but they didn't have to be so loud about it lol. Like some people have even said they didn't admit to loving DNA even though they did because many other people hated it...
