Comely 1,415 Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 My ex wanted me to make a girl jealous because she was hitting on him and would not stop, it made me kinda uncomfortable because I have a really bad past with jealousy/possessiveness so I refused. I don't think I could ever date someone who's as possessive as I used to be (with my friends). Jealousy isn't good, romantically or just between friends, it can't get to a really ugly level sometimes. Those feelings shouldn't have a place in a relationship imo. I got a boyfriend who was a jerk who was with me just to make another girl jealous and I was still really immature at that time so it really messed me up. When I learnt about it and broke up I became jealous myself and I was really not at ease when the guys I was interested into were with other girls, even if we weren't in a relationship. It lasted for years, and the relationships I got after ended up badly because I was too jealous. I'm glad I learnt how to control it though. It's important that we learn to control this feeling so it won't ruin the relationship. There should be a lot of communication so that the people involved feel safe in the relationship.
