And please note this is NOT coming from a place of hate cuz I've always genuinely enjoyed his music. He used to put out bop after bop and it felt natural This RnB shit is what's working for him so I don't know why he's trying so hard to get that hip hop validation in the US when he could just be himself. I liked his string of releases just prior to this, Me Like Yuh, Drive, All I Wanna Do, Yacht, etc. Not sure why they decided he should change his music stylistically. edit: Also, he's always been a better vocal than rapper. He should have gone with his singing route honestly. He's not standing out at all and just fading into the background. FSU is an upgrade from Soju but...not that much. Shame though. But that being said, I know people hate mumble rap and understandably, but good mumble rap is actually super hard to pull off, and quite frankly there's no way Jay Park can do it, that song and video is nothing put a poor mans attempt at Travis Scott's sound and aesthetic. Granted, now it's a bit too early to tell but I really don't like the direction he's taken. He's the one that I relied on when I was in a music rut but now whenever I check out his new songs, I get disappointed. Like what is this shit?
