Peach Girl won the 1999 Kodansha Manga Award for Shoujo, has been adapted into an anime, a TV Drama in Taiwan, and live-action film, has spawned two sequels (Ura Peach Girl, and the currently ongoing Peach Girl Next), and has sold over 13 million copies worldwide!!

 

 

Thoughts on this masterpiece??

I actually watched the anime before reading the manga, but after reading the manga I was like "wtf!!! That adaptation was so half-assed." The pacing was way too fast in the anime.

 

I wanted her to end up with Toji so I dont have good memories of the ending but it was my first manga 

 

Same!!! Like Toji sacrificed his own happiness to save her reputation, and she still chooses the guy who doesn't even actually love her? Bye sis lol

I liked it too! I just wish they would've done more with Jigoro's character and Sae's acting was a tad bit overdramatic at times (the eyes rolling back...I was like "wtf?")
