JTBC Drama "The Third Charm" Seo Kang-Joon & Esom. *~The End~*

Man, they look super cute together in the spring/summer montage and I love both actors, but I absolutely loathe their relationship. Their whole dating history could just be summarized as him looking at her looking at the universe that revolves around her. It's so one-sided at it reminds me of all of my horrible exes. I'm not saying she's a terrible person or anything, I just don't think she knows how to be a good partner. No give-and-take, tendencies to avoid conflicts, and no open communication.

P.S. I hate her friend Jooran too for basically doing all kinds of things that would sabotage her relationship with Joonyoung. She keeps talking shit about him and egging for YJ-NoChul to happen when YJ makes it clear both verbally and nonverbally she doesn't want it. I also couldn't care less about her ridiculous, juvenile quest for a male partner.

is that so? do you mind to share it here? â€‹tnx laugh.png

Now that I re-read the comments, they don't seem as bad as I remember them to be. I just remember being super discouraged by the comments and not wanting to watch the eps because of them haha. Here's the tag for the drama on melohwa: https://melohwa.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Third%20Charm?max-results=6

These are the comments for ep 7 for example: (not too bad, but I could totally feel their frustration)

Scriptwriter, don't you have too old-fashioned sentiments...

2. [+257,-10]

I think the second male lead is too brazen.

3. [+180,-9]

She doesn't do what Joon Young dislikes her to do, she does them behind his back? What is the reason that they have to stay together.... I wonder if there is room for excuses.

4. [+158,-3]

If you happen to meet someone at a restaurant, you would say hi and go. Why did they even eat ice cream together and watch people busking.. I think Kang Joon would want to do minor stuff like these with her too...

5. [+113,-5]

Young Jae didn't do anything bad to Joon Young, but what's this? Why is she saying one thing and doing another?

6. [+46,-1]

Once the wedding is done, they should go separate ways. Why did they go home together and stay till evening together? The female lead is seriously..

7. [+46,-1]

Please be appropriate.

8. [+33,-1]

The second male lead is brazen and what is the female lead doing;;;;;;;; It's so frustrating that I turned it off.

9. [+30,-1]

It's really difficult to understand the characters. I like the sentiments of it in the beginning, that's why I kept watching. But I can't understand it.

Man they're fucking this up real bad... They gave us Se-eun who is such a sweetheart and a completely perfect match for Joon-young. I want them to stay together and for Young-jae to never appear again lol. If Joon-young dumps Se-eun and get back together with Young-jae, he would become a major JERK. Basically using Se-eun as a fucking 4-year-long long-distance rebound. Se-eun and Joon-young's break up is obviously inevitable, but she's so sweet and dedicated to him that it only makes sense he breaks up with her and not the other way around. Basically, the drama is DOOMED no matter what lmao.

Of course, they can avoid being a shitty, cliche drama by just not letting Joon-young and Young-jae ever, but this is a K-drama we're talking about, and Se-eun is introduced too late/ hasn't had enough screen time to be hanging around as a significant character till the end of the drama.
