Oh my god, is this for real? I just posted not 5 min ago on another thread about this.

Sigh... you just don't know what's the truth anymore. You just can never know, do you

that's the reality of things; fake news are running rampant everywhere these days and i suggest fact checking first before making a judgement, ever, or you'll continue to make statements you'll regret later

So the translation of her post is still correct (or is it wrong?) and it's just she posted it before the typhoon and deleted it after? If so, I still think the post/wording was in poor taste but at least she realised and deleted it. That definitely makes it a lot better than if it had been posted after.

Edit for typo/

Disclaimer once again, I'm biased.

But I've been a kpop stan long enough to take precautions on all these things:

1. Never trust an NB or Allkpop article because they sensationalize every little thing

2. If the source of the article that they transcribe from is Nate, then its doubly questionable

3. Always check the facts yourself. We're hearing secondhand information from english sites who also just transcribe their information secondhand. How trustworthy do you think those are, truly?

EDIT:

like, don't even trust me. weigh both sides, try to stay objective, and make a judgement call.

Still messy on her part, but at least she put her last braincells to work and realized that as well and deleted it.

Well, i am not a huge kpop fan, i only visit this site for news and i am not that invested to do research over it. And did you just call me a mindless sheep for commenting on a news. That truly is quite nasty. Hope you enjoy the view up there on your high horses.

Thank you, i will keep that in mind, i do notice the trend with Nate news that tends to be on the negative side right?

that was not directed at you, i was referencing the reaction such a case like this would get from the majority of bystanders out there, but go off i guess

Nate is like a catch all for all good and bad articles. bad, as in low-effort articles. You'll notice that NB's source is usually nate because it's in these low-effort articles that you find the netizens ready to look for someone to put down.

She just came out with an apology.

It's currently trending #1 and #4 on Naver.

Hopefully this will help subside some of the feelings.

She did it the right way. Realize your mistake. Apologize with no excuses. And hopefully learn from it.

if she posted and deleted the comment before the typhoon hit then that changes a lot..the original comment is still distasteful, but at least she doesn't look like a total jerk.

many people definitely forget that netizenbuzz translates articles with an agenda in mind (even a seemingly fluffy article may contain a shady comment). critical thinking skills are important lol.

i respect you -- at least you admit that you're biased. and your points about fact checking and secondhand sources are valid.
