[AJ] A team on ‘Produce 48’ is getting drowned in dislikes for picking on the weaklings

The latest drama from ‘Produce 48’ is something I didn’t even notice at the time because … I mean, it’s a reality show. Anyway, as you know, on the last episode the girls picked groups and then opponents in performing a song, and the battle of BLACKPINK’s “Boombayah†is getting heated … online.

Basically, people are pissed that Team 1 (consisting of all Korean contestants) picked on Team 2 (consisting of four Japanese and two Korean contestants) for what many considered an easy win, with most of the hate directed at leader Lee Chaejeong for making the call.

 

We know people are mad because the likes to dislikes ratio on their YouTube fancams right now are nuts.

It goes from positive to absolutely drowned based on perceived culpability.

 

I dunno man, it’s a dog eat dog world, and I appreciate her going for the villain angle we desperately needed. Was it smart knowing how the public would perceive it and how Mnet would pounce on the chance to edit it maliciously? No. Do I hate her for it? Fuck no and nobody reasonable should either.

 

So much for the reality show trope, I guess?

 

 

 

 

Honestly laughing at the visual of the Mnet editors seeing her confessional for the first time, though. Probably unzipped.

Strategy's smart but expected. Bad thing about it though is that their group doesn't really have popular members. The underdog group has a few so the results could go either way.

Sucks that some of the members get sucked into the hate for no reason.

 

Team A leader should have picked japanese members though. They all have steady fanbases from akb48. They lack popular members.

 

The backlash is heavy and they might not even win since its a popularity contest in the end.

like we don't know what the context she was asked

maybe she was referring to the fact that the members she chose was smart, 

or maybe the interviewers led her on and talked about how the leader was smart (you all saw that pause and zoom in to her face, it didn't sound fluid...) with choosing the weaker team and asked her what she thought of the leader's decisions

or the part when the girl said her running was so cool, like that interview could have happened before the leader choose her opponents

 

i can't believe everyone's falling for mnet's editing again. 

yes i feel like that was an icky decision to choose the weaker team like that

but like we know the unnecessary hate past contestants got for no reason; please take some of the editing with a grain of salt please

Idk when you literally smiling and enjoying getting a win this way it's pretty malicious and stupid like this is Mnet but they seemed to not care and were dumb enough to talk about it happily. It's not about the strategy it's about how straight up ugly she was speaking on it like she was some comic book villian half the stuff the leader said can't even be taken out of the context she genuinely was happy and celebratory of a dick move I don't even think Daehwi's team was like them. I honestly still feel nothing doing that plan wouldn't had been so hated if it wasn't for the arrogant behavior of the team

most people are upset with how they picked the weaker team mostly cause there was another scene showed of them laughing around and joking saying they "don't want to die" while knowing they had an easy win. it just rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

Mnet's editing is just... They did with Sixteen, and showed certain members under certain lights... which wasn't true at all.

 

But either way, the girls tried their best and look how much positive attention they got.

Girl should have been devious away from those cameras but there's nothing wrong with what she did. Like they said, they have to survive too. Do you seriously think the group in season 1 and 2 that faced off against the weakest team wasn't just as happy? They were just smart to not show their glee on camera.

 

And why would she choose Japanese trainees to do Boombayah? She said it herself that she choose her team because they'd fit the song. The Japanese trainees do not have that fierce vibe.

Tbh, it was a stupid plan. This would obviously be good for team 2 and boost their popularity. They tried to be smart but they forgot this is a competition of who the public likes and they just gave the attention and support to the other team. It’s was stupid.

The plan was to gun for Boombayah so see immediently went for people who fit the concept and in term "wouldn't mess up". Team 2 was just all the trainees that weren't picked so basically the remaining trainees no one wanted a majority were D - F japanese trainees and 2 korean trainees (that darkskinned Cube trainee and I think that pretty and innocent singing trainee)

Theres also another dislike fest youtube drama on another team where this japanese trainee said to choose a center by doing rock-scissor-paper 😅😅😅

I cant with those fans dwelled into mnet drama because the evil (and angel) editing is so obvious.

Like for boombayah team, well most of the team says they want to choose the weakest team :/ even in season 1 and 2 I think theres always talk about how some want to avoid this team because they're too strong and want to choose that team because they're weak. I admit seeing them cries immediately got me into emotion... Boombayah is too swaggy for them. They probably doing better if they did veryveryvery or kara or akb48 song bit yeah afterall this is competition.. What lee seunggi says is right, if they put determination and do it well it will touch people heart more..

And for the girl who says to rock-scissor-paper lol this mnet editing is funnyly obvious. with the cut in the sentence she speaks, to another trainee zooming face, another cut sentence when she speaks lol she offered the idea since its normal in japan and she's back off sating she didnt know the song well when the leader says to sing a little part of the song to judge them on the skills.

we cant even be sure if she says all this as same one sentence.
