I know the google translation is wonky but I just had to post it anyways. Because some people are just so stupid that that should be a crime on itself.

But the shortish version. 16 year old girl from a low income family wanted money and offered nudes in an unspecified app for $10-15 [which I think is another problem, but not a focus of the article]. Then when people paid she would delete them and keep the money without sending the photo.

This apparently pissed off someone so badly that he tracked down the contact info for her dad who he then proceeded to text his complaints to. And when the dad didn't reply after repeated hello's, the boy asks if the daughter is in trouble now, to which the dad replies that she is, and the boy might be too. Then the boy replies "why, I didn't do anything so what are you gonna do?".

The boy is most likely a minor too judging from the way he writes and the type of school the journalists tracked him down to. But still this happened when it hasn't been that long since there were a lot of headlines with 500-1000 who were charged after sharing photos of an underage girl. And several of the people charged were underage themselves.

ps. the links to other articles are clickbait and will not lead to actual nudes.

pps. when it says "foreign" in the original headline, it should have said "a stranger" or someone unknown to the dad.

That's a translation thing. Nothing in the danish suggests he should be behind it. He just expresses regret that they have so little money that the daughter felt it necessary to do this to make money.

Actually by going public with it there is a very high risk that his daughter can face charges too for scamming if it turns out she really did do this to several people.

ohh okay

Well her dad is doing the righteous thing then. Very noble to possibly take those charges head on, but at the same time I feel really bad for him and his daughter

I am not a lawyer but as it is written I'm not sure the boy or any other potential buyers can be charged with anything unless they are found in possession of other illegal material. But if they can be charged for "simply" trying to get the photos, that would be hard to do without also going after the one who offered the photos and made money off of it even if they weren't actually distributed.

Most likely there will be no charges unless it turns out there were many who tried to buy them from her.

oh I meant it's noble of him to do the right thing and possibly get his daughter in trouble despite doing so. I'd honestly never do something like that.

On wether the boy should get charged or not, I don't think he should if he was a minor. He do feel bad for him that he paid for something yet never got what he paid for.
