Because she announced her graduation and that she's going to Woollim (and debuting in a group with them, presumably this year sometime?).

edit Which also means Jiwaru Days is probably her last AKB48 single, as I don't think she'll be around long enough for whenever their next single release is to have a graduation one special to her (though given her lack of presence in Jiwaru Days, AKS might have known about this for a bit anyway).

It doesn't specify when the group will debut (Juri's own message didn't really either), but I'd presume given Juri's sudden announcement it'd be early next year at the absolute latest? With probably middle of this year making the most sense, since there's no official date given of when Juri is leaving AKB48 and it wouldn't surprise me if the others they're considering need more training.

 

Either way, glad to see Juri opted to follow her goals, and hopefully the group does well uwu

 

 

I am a tad concerned though as Lovelyz have always had cute af concepts, hopefully this group won't also be stuck with mainly cute concepts too... ;-;

Also on Mako's recent Instalive, she spoke about this too and wanting to meet up with Juri in South Korea (and also just about how she herself wants to see her own Korean fans again):

 

 

Given Mako has announced her own graduation already it shouldn't be too hard to do in some form (though she might have a harder time negotiating with a Korean agency if that's what she also wants to do).

 

 

Unrelated, but I noticed an old reddit comment of mine was me noting Juri would probably only graduate with a good offer from another agency... seeing that now be the case is rather nice (and a bit funny lol)

Also has anyone ever scanned her photobook? I want to scan my copy but don't want to damage it with how flimsy it is (the bonus postcard is the only thing really safe to scan in it) :x

 

If no one's seen any scans I might go and buy a second copy so I can ruin one without issues.

Given Sakura, Nako and Hitomi are still in this area I'd presume not? But that could be due to them possibly/likely returning to their 48G parties after IZ*ONE. Miyu's thread though is also still in this area and she's borderline confirmed to be debuting in Korea (just her agency isn't known yet).

 

Overall I don't see a huge point in moving it given it's not hard to link in the groups megathread (when the group is announced/has an OP for it), the group's OP, etc, etc but not sure how staff would really want to handle it since this (and Miyu as well) is probably an oddball case :x

What will happen to your social media when she becomes a trainee in Woolim?

Depends on how they're feeling (and I'm not entirely sure on Woollim's specifics on this). Right now though it seems like they're letting her keep using her accounts? Since she last posted to Insta a day ago.

 

I think the most that might happen though is they'll tell her to not use them and her accounts will be a dead wasteland for a bit in terms of posts.

Likewise, her last handshake event is May 6th (same day as Miyu's final one), meaning she basically won't be doing handshake events for Jiwaru DAYS.

 

Also means the Woollim group might be coming sooner than expected.

Seems Juri might not get to use social media anymore? "Well then, see you later" is the end of the Tweet, and the rest doesn't make it clear if it's just her indicating her Korean debut is soonâ„¢ or if she can't post anymore or what.

Looks like Juri will have her own thing on Rocket Punch's YT channel, documenting her debuting in Korea. Doesn't note when/if any proper episodes will be done/posted though ;~;
