Is Ddu Du Ddu Du a Love Song to Twice?

The four-member korean pop girl group, Black Pink, recently released their new hit song "Ddu Du Ddu Du." This song is undoubtedly another win for the gays and korean pop girl groups as they continue to hit the Melon roof and their sales reach at an all time high. The lyrical content of this song and the choreography mirrors those of Twice's singles, in this essay bullet point post I will analyze the relationship of these two girl groups.

  • Lyrical content

"ë‘ ë²ˆ ìƒê°í•´"

Literally translates to "Think twice." Black Pink is telling Twice to think????? It's self explanatory.

"ì•„ì§ì€ 잘 모르겠지

êµ³ì´ ì›í•˜ë©´ Test me
넌 불 ë³´ë“¯ì´ ë»”í•´
만만한 걸 ì›í–ˆë‹¤ë©´"

Translates to

"You still don’t really know

But if you really want me, test me
It’s obvious, like looking at fire
If you wanted something easy…"

This stanza is a response towards Twice's hit song "What is Love?" where the girls beg to know how love feels like. Black Pink asserts their dominance towards Twice, commanding Twice to test them if they really want them.

Similar gun hands choreography but Twice never points towards us, Black Pink's motive with this is asserting their dominance (again). But WAIT

Twice's "Heartshaker" choreography includes their closed hands to represent their hearts, thus Black Pink is shooting at Twice's hearts as both hand choreography points to the similar direction.

Anyways, TL;DR Twice x Black Pink where Black Pink are tops and Twice are bottoms.
