I rushed to watch the whole show in 3 days so I could watch their debut. ItΒ was anΒ adventure to skip all the spoilers through sns

I'm almost 100% happy with the final lineup, I just wish Akari could've made it, she was very bright

I think Yuna and Riria are going to debut at some other group (not so soon, but they're young, so that's ok), but I feel Akari will just give up on being an idol...

I was specially happy for Mayuka and Rio, they have grown so much, it's unbelievable (Mayuka almost didn't had any screentime atΒ Part 1)
Β

I was shocked Akari didn't make it.Β

She shines in every stage and has strong different visuals. What makes TWICE so enjoyable to watch on stage is how different their visuals are but they're all gorgeous. I thought Akari would've made it for sure because she would add another kind of beauty to the final line up.Β

Mayuka, Ayaka and Maya all have similar visuals. So I'm surprised that all three made it.Β

But very very happy for Nina, Rio and Miihi!

It's pretty sad, but I honestly think that the main reason for Akari and Riria to not make it was their "overweight". JYP complimented both of them constantly, but in the end he didn't choose them for "no reason"...

Akari, Riria and Momoka created twitter profiles. Akari and Riria started their accountsΒ thankingΒ everyone for the support during the Nizi Project
Akari said she didn't decided what she'll do for now, but she won't give up on her dreamsΒ
Go there and follow the girls!

I think so... Recently Yeji said on a live that she sees the girls on the JYPE's building all the time, so I think they're practicing for their debut thereΒ

Right...

I'm confused about their timeline and how much time they have left in SK but we'll probably find out

Since they can't do vlive and stuff and need to cater to Japanese fans long-term, I hope they find ways to keep fans in the loop between now and their debut

To be honest, still a bit confusing how they'll promote... I don't think they'll move to Japan, honestly

Tbh, regardless of how they end up being promoted on a larger scale, I still think they may often go back and forth between Japan and Korea for work. If I remember correctly, JYP's Chinese boy group Boy Story has done that before and they're obviously mainly active in China. Therefore, the girls practicing and training and working at JYPE may or may not mean something.

Β

But yes, I'm also curious as to how JYPE and Sony are going to promote these girls. Are they going to go the more I guess 'traditional' route that a lot of Japanese idols go in terms of promos, or will they also incorporate more way to engage and international following along with a domestic one.Β

I'm not very familiar with the japanese idol industry, can you tell me how they usually promote? They go to tv shows? Fansigning?Β

Well I mean in general, promotions are pretty standard at times, similar than how they are in Korea. Artist often do attend Music shows, tv interviews and sometimes variety shows to help promote their releases. The main difference I can think of in that aspect , for example,Β is that Music shows most often don't have the same people promoting the same song every week the way they do in Korea. They also often do handshake/hi-touch events kinda like fansigns, but given the covid situation, I think some move those online as well.

Β

I guess my biggest curiosity is will a lot of their content be more accessible on an international level? I know more and more artists in Japan are taking steps on Youtube and whatnot to give more accessibility to music and general content. But if JYPE and Sony want to give them a push on a more international and global scale, are we going to have content that's specifically catered to that audience? Especially if they do actually plan on being active in Korea. JYPE might not be the first company/producer to be heavily involved in producing and creating international act. But I feel like a lot of eyes are going to be watching what they do for NiziU and if they do it right, I feel like that might become a standard so to speak for any other companies that might follow suit.Β
