[Akaya]

I personally liked DTNA better, too. I thought they should win. I felt like they all really suited the song, and they felt really cohesive. The song is more difficult vocally and dance wise, and I love how they did some of the harmonies on stage. Nina isn't the best dancer, but her vocals really carry alot. Akari's voice went really well with it, too, and the hairstyle and styling on her was so pretty. Mayuka did well on her part and is such a cutie. Riria has a solid skill base, but she doesn't draw as much attention as the other girls.

VVV, even when it's a good song, it isn't really a song that shows off a lot of skills imo. Rima doing the whole rap section straight through was really impressive, her lung capacity! She really stood out as an all-rounder this round. Miihi was stable as ever. Ayaka was pretty, but her singing is not pleasant, even after all the vocal tuning they put their performances through for shows like this.

Edit: Speaking of tuning though, JYP might be going between the two based on how they actually sounded live rather than how it sounds broadcasted. Because the face he is shown making during Nina's high note is the same one I make if someone sings a note wrong, but it sounds great and right on in the broadcast. Also the like reaction cuts you can hear more of what they sound like without the tuning help.

Swing Baby: Right from the lineup, this team was pretty much guaranteed the win. 

Heart Shaker: I've got to agree with JYP on this one. I had difficulty focusing on this performance because it just seemed so incoherent. I never saw star potential in Yuna in season 1 and definitely thought she was overranked but this time round I actually see her potential. I think she is a good candidate for the groups rapper but she doesn't seem to be playing to that strength. 

Overall I think the 2 teams last week were better. 

I'm changing my favourites every week but Rio and Mayuka are lock ins for me. But they're both on the fence of making the lineup especially Mayuka.

I think the show has made it pretty obvious who the candidates are right now:

• Guaranteed spot: JYP trio Mako, Miihi, Rima
• Practically already have a foot in: Riku, Maya
• Good chance: Nina, Ayaka, Akari (I'm on the fence about including her in this category but JYP seems to favour her)
• Maybe: Rio, Riria, Mayuka, Yuna?
• Don't think so: Momoka

Yuna really came for us in Feel Special, she really stood out this time and have a confidence and presence I haven't felt from her yet. Every time she had a part it caught my attention. I am so happy to see JYP acknowledge her as she is the only JYP trainee to not get positive feedback and focus yet.

The whole team did a great job. Excited to see next week's performanced too!

Miihi sounded super breathy(?) in Feel Special. I think the song was way out of her range. Can't believe the day has come where Miihi gets outshined by the rest of the girls. Akari was absolutely glowing this time round too. And this was most definitely Yuna's best peformance. She went off with the dancing at the end.

Icy team killed it. I loved their energy and the team's balance. Nina's ease with high notes still surprises me.

I feel bad for heartbeat team, the main thing turning me away from their performance was the song. It's not one I enjoy. Mayuka did a great job with her rap parts.

Though, they really are singing a lot in Korean for a Japan-based group. I know they have gotten a pretty good reaction from some k-netz, I wonder if they will release something in Korean sometime.

Momoka leaving is no surprise. She was the most forgettable of all the girls in my eyes. i started the episode thinking she is the only girl I see them cutting.

Nina's tone fit Icy to the T. Well the singing parts at least.

I agree with JYP on the team rankings. Feel Special and Icy were neck and neck though.

In regards to my favourites:
Mayuka is my absolute favourite. As long as she makes it in, I will be happy with the lineup. Both her dark horse moments occurred right at the end of both seasons which makes me question if it's too late. But who knows it might work in her favour since it will be fresh on JYP's mind.

Yuna has really grown on me and I think it would be good for her confidence to make it into the final team. I don't think it would sit well with her to have to go back to being a trainee and I question if she would want to continue for a shot in the next Korean girl group since her spot wouldn't be guaranteed. But at the same time I do think that she might not fit in with the group and her talents kind of fall short.

I see all 12 remaining debuting, especially as Japan tends to have bigger groups. But my expectation tiers pre ep 9, based on how they have shown everyone.

Probably: Ayaka, Akari, Yuna

Maybe not: Riria, Mayuka

Who I stan most personally: Nina and Mayuka

Tbh I can’t see anyone not making it. Which on its own would be great, but would be awkward if Momoka was the only one who didn’t make it

Mako, Maya, Mihii, Rima, Nina, Rio, Riku, Mayuka, & Ayaka are def making the lineup. Yuna started improving a lot towards the end & is pretty popular, so I see her making it too.

Akari & Riria are more iffy ones, so anyone gets eliminated it may be them. But hopefully not, and even if they do, hope they can keep training in JYP and maybe debut in the next Korean GG

I was so worried for Mayuka and Nina for a second, but my girls both made it!! And it's a JYP group where I can understand their content without subtitles. I am really living the dream

The lineup was as I guessed, and the song is cute! Excited for their soft debut so soon, and major debut in fall!!

The only one I was really rooting for throughout the end that didn't make it was Yuna. I look forward to seeing her in JYP's future groups, she would fit anywhere.

But watching them on the sukkiri interview, they are all such little babies age 15-18. I don't know why I thought Mayuka was like over 18, but she is just 16yo babey. Look forward to their future

Not one bit surprised with the lineup. I'm just super glad Mayuka made it. But the group name on the other hand... Nizi would've been cute but they just had to sprinkle some classic kpop in it and throw in an extra letter to make a pun.

I wonder what's going to happen to Yuna. I feel like she would've taken the elimination the hardest. Her expression when they were announcing the final member was just heartbreaking.

I rushed to watch the whole show in 3 days so I could watch their debut. It was an adventure to skip all the spoilers through sns

I'm almost 100% happy with the final lineup, I just wish Akari could've made it, she was very bright

I think Yuna and Riria are going to debut at some other group (not so soon, but they're young, so that's ok), but I feel Akari will just give up on being an idol...

I was specially happy for Mayuka and Rio, they have grown so much, it's unbelievable (Mayuka almost didn't had any screentime at Part 1)
