If my fellow POC need new sunscreen...

Because it's a chemical filter sunscreen.

Nothing unique about it.

It's unique in the sense that many sunscreens don't suit brown/black people cuz they leave a white cast on our faces. The ones that don't do that are usually more expensive.

This is quite cheap for a good quality sunscreen. It even has Tasmanian rainwater.

every physical sunscreen leaves a white cast.

Chemicals ones don't. Chemical ones are also more irritating to sensitive skin

That skincare blogger didn't mention her skin type so idk about that.

"Blanc & Eclare Serein Essential Sun Cream is a rich, non-comedogenic sunscreen great for all skin types and designed for daily use to protect skin from the harmful and damaging effects of the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. Natural moisturizing ingredients and niacinamide keep skin healthy, bright, and hydrated. A must for any serious anti-aging skincare regimen."

I have sensitive skin too so I'll have to use it to see the effects.

Chemical filters don't leave a white cast. Physical blockers like zinc and titanium oxide do, since it's the opaque white particles that reflects UV rays.

I promise you, Tasmanian rainwater does nothing lol

Tasmanian rainwater is for purity more than anything else. It's gentle and delicate on the skin. Of course rainwater won't help against against the sun.

"With a base of Tasmanian rainwater — a region renown for its pristine natural resources — married with the innovative technology and high quality ingredients South Korea is known for, each Blanc & Eclare product is carefully formulated to imbue skin with the purity and brilliance found in nature."

You can get Aveeno face sunscreen for $13 at any drug store or box store and it won't leave you with a white cast plus it goes on like a true moisturizer (very cosmetically elegant).

The only sunscreen you should splurge on is physical.  There are some that don't leave a white cast but they are in the $20-$30 range and you have to buy them online.

it's because they contain a high amount of titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide which leaves a white cast on your face. A great majority of physical sunscreens tend to leave white casts whereas chemical sunscreens don't.

Use canmake mermaid skin sunscreen

I prefer Rohto Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk. It feels a bit lighter and smoother and can be used for outdoor activities unlike Canmake Mermaid Gel which is meant for incidental sun exposure. It's also sweat and water resistant whereas Canmake isn't.

I don't think that's available in my country :(
