Sarah Sanders, Kirstjen Nielsen, and Stephen Miller have all faced pushback over dinner.

It’s been a rough week for Trump administration officials trying to enjoy a dinner out.

First came the run-in on this past Sunday, when White House adviser Stephen Miller was hounded while eating at DC’s Espita Mezcaleria. According to the New York Post, diners called him a “real-life fascist begging money for new cages.â€

On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was forced to leave Mexican restaurant MXDC after hecklers descended on the Washington eatery shouting, “Shame!†“End family separation!†and “If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace!â€

(The New Yorker noted their odd choice of dining venues, given the political optics.)

“If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace!â€

Activists with the Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists of America crashed
's dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., and heckled her over the Trump administration’s 'zero-tolerance' immigration policy.

A couple of days later, protesters gathered outside Nielsen’s home, blasting the ProPublica audio of detained children crying at an immigration facility.

Protestors are outside of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s Alexandria townhouse, playing audio of the detained children. She appears to be still be home.

Then, on Friday night, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave The Red Hen, a farm-to-table restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. â€œI explained the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation,†the restaurant’s co-owner, Stephanie Wilkinson, told the Washington Post.

Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for
and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec)

Well, there’s always Chick-fil-A.

There are other ways to show disapproval for "illegal immigration" than dehumanizing brown people. rounding up children in camps, advocating for unconstitutional methods to deal with said people, lie about it all, and then pull out the biblical Nazi defense as a justification.

1. No one has dehumanized brown people. Not wanting illegals in the country for valid economic and sociopolitical reasons is not dehumanizing of brown people.

2. The reason children are being "rounded up in camps" is because children cannot be held in federal jails for committing a crime (crossing the border illegally) and their parents can't be held elsewhere (ie, with their children) because they are, legally, criminals. If people didn't cross the border illegally, this wouldn't be happening. As it stands, there are too many people on the waitlist to get any of this done quickly, hence the "camps".

3. Unless you consider "not allowing illegals to cross the border illegally" unconstitutional, then no such thing has been done.

4. Re: 3.

5. You really want Trump to be Hitler 2.0 and that says too much already.

No, it doesn't. How one enacts rules and policies to deal with people in the country illegally, however, can certainly make someone an awful person.

Do you really believe that referring to immigrants as vermin isn't an attempt to dehumanize them?

Lol buzzfeed. Direct quote from the Trumpster: "They don’t care about crime and want illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be, to pour into and infest our Country." The word vermin is used exclusively by buzzfeed for your clicks.

Oh right, saying they infest the country and comparing children to the "animals" of MS13 isn't dehumanizing at all. Come oooon. This is indefensible.

Connotation. The word 'infest' is not typically used in a positive sense.

Pretending he was comparing children to the ms-13 is pretty wild of you lol. You just gotta make sure you get that edge amirite.

Because... illegal immigration is not typically positive, perhaps? idk why you're dying on this particular hill dude.

Lol...you make it sound as if it isn't a typical right wing talking point at the moment. Even Trump's buddies on Fox State News are saying so.

And have you seen the public opinion on this whole mess? The ones dying on the hills are the Trumpism enablers. History isn't going to remember you kindly.

I don't really have a decisive opinion on this policy just yet. Although there really isn't anything strange about this policy, tbh, it's a tough measure if anything, tough for American standards for sure. Basically while the illegal immigrants are individually investigated, their children are put someplace else. Pretty normal. If this happened to my country I don't think that the people will find it weird. Neither would the American left-wingers. Seems like people are buying into the sensationalism of international media outlets. All what the left-wingers are doing to justify their point is to bring up Trump's mean comments about immigrants.

Americans are really so politically ideological. I don't think that the left-wingers are mad at the law per se, they're just mad that Trump is the one doing the enforcing, lol. Hence the reactions are more about Trump and less about a way to find a practical alternative solution. Another reason why Trump really should not have been president, his presence in and of itself garners too much negativity. His name itself counts as a massive stain on a brand. Can't believe that the Republicans were too stupid to even realize this.

And about these restaurants. It would have been fine if they just ousted any Trump supporter, but they're ousting them for a law that might have rational backing. It has me thinking that they're so deeply invested in their ideology as to hate any action that comes from the other side, so much so that the ability to think about this law contextually, on its own, separate to the body enforcing it is lost to them.

2. Nope. Try again. The reason why children are round up in camps is because Trumpstey, as usual, is trying to look like he's solving a problem that doesn't exist, which is the supposed failure of catch and release. Two, they are not "legally, criminals". People who claim asylum are not committing a single offence. They've come and surrendered themselves to border patrol because you have to actually be on US soil to claim asylum. Other people who are undocumented have committed as much of a "crime" as anyone who has ever run at stop sign at Yosemite.

3. Your Daddy was advocating for skipping due process when dealing with migrants. Per the 5th amendment (I know y'all like to pretend like there is nothing past the 2nd but keep up), that's unconstitutional.

4. Re:1-3

5. He isn't half as efficient. Or charismatic.

Maybe try to not use the exact same quote as to justify yourself as the Nazis did if you don't wanna be called one though.
