It’s raining accolades on Janet Jackson.

Fresh from receiving the Icon gong at the BBMAs, the Queen Of Pop was last night presented with the Impact Award at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards.

The salute, which recognized Jackson’s mark in the realms of both showbiz and social justice, was presented by Normani and Disney darling Raven Symone. Both of whom stressed how much the superstar means to their personal journeys.

Receiving rapturous applause upon hitting the stage, mother of one Janet gave an impassioned speech. Check it out below…

Beautiful presentation and powerful words from Ms. Jackson.

We must say; we’re loving the love she’s been receiving of late. She really is getting her dues (finally).

For a long time, it felt as though the industry at large was doing a huge disservice to one of its greatest artists and, in veering away from the spotlight herself, it seemed like Janet was over it too.

Fast forward to now and things couldn’t be anymore different. She’s being recognized in the manner she deserves and also seems to have a renewed fire for her career. It’s exciting times.
