note : So before we start, Kyungsoo IS NOT cast in this webtoon adaptation yet (there were rumors BUT most likely baseless), we also don’t know if he WILL in the future. It’s just, his name has been frequently mentioned by knetz due to the resemblance with the main charater. And it won’t hurt to translate more netizen-comments that praise Kyungsoo, so here we go.

The pictures above explained that popular thriller webtoon â€˜Bastard’ (about a boy who lives with his psychopath father) movie-adaptation is confirmed. Yim Pil-Sung PD who directed â€˜Scarlet Innocence’ is in charge to direct this movie. Currently, the investment and distribution are still undecided, while the casting is actively progressing.

In response to the news, the webtoon fans are heatedly engaged in â€˜who should be playing the characters’. There are names being mentioned, like Park Sung-woong and Kim Sang-joo for the father role, and Doh Kyungsoo, Im Siwan, Lee Hyun-woon for the son role.

Until now, he always matches all his filmography, and seems like this causes movie officials to appreciate him. His acting is also really good… Ths time he’s doing a drama, and looks like he’ll show another different image and atmosphere. I’m looking forward.

I think I’d be alright with either Park Sung Woong or Kim Sang Joo as the father. As for the lead, I hope they cast Kyungsoo too. He looks young enough, and I think he’d be able to pull off the dark complexity that the role requires.
