Mccuish 1,935 Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 I work full time as a dishwasher along side 2 dishwasher who work part time. I can get roughly 30-35 hours a week. I learned that one of the part time dishwashers wants some extra shifts. My boss was asking me if I wanted to give him some of my shifts during the week. I thought about doing it, but decided against it since I was feeling a bit cheated due to losing good hours. My boss then tells me I don't have to give up shifts if I don't want to which is good enough for me. He also tells me if I need a day off sometime I can just ask one of the part timers to cover my shift which is a good deal for me. Some of the servers don't agree with me while some of the do agree me. I've been working there long than the other 2 dishwashers, so I don't think I should feel obligated to have to give up my shifts. Was I wrong with my decision?
