Music is about expression and not all expressions have to be loud and attention-grabbing. Something New is one hell of a reflective piece of work and sets people thinking. That in itself is worthy of scrutiny. I always consider Taeyeon is a great artiste because she always explores new grounds to express thoughts and ideas instead of sticking to a genre or style just to pander to charts or netizens.
