Hey guys, I don't know if you are aware yet but filming for the 2nd season of ItaKiss has already

started since a month ago I believe. First episode is taking place in Okinawa (for the honeymoon scenes).

There will be 16 episodes in total.

Also the director for this season is different from the one in the first season. I believe her reason was

that she (the director) was working on another production of the movie. However this new director will try

to follow the manga closely just like the previous one.

I'll link the sources tomorrow since its already night time where I live already! I'll edit the post with proper info then. Are you guys excited????????????????  :ahmagah: Just knowing that season 2 is around the corner is making want to watch season 1 again   I wanted to post info regard Season 2 on the official ItaKiss thread on Oh but the mods still haven't unarchived the thread  yet. Until then I'll post ItaKiss related info here or on Miki's thread!

omg a second season!! I'm so happy >.< I watched season 1 some months ago and totally loved it. and before watching I was thinking "it'll be close to impossible for them to do as well as the tw version ISWAK" but then I love ItaKiss just as much as ISWAK. It was perfect. and I wished for them to do a season 2 like TKA so much. I'm just really happy reading this news!! They're cute in the video!!

So they're changing the production team, scriptwriter etc. ah, I had a feeling this would happen. I wanted them to keep everything the same, just so it becomes as good as the 1st season. However I'm fine with a new production team if they can make it as good and still the same 'world' as the 1st season. I hope they work hard on it, can't wait~

OMG I can't wait for the new season. I'm excited to see how things will be after the marriage.

OMG I really can't wait for the honeymoon part of it. Knowing Kotoko she'll probably be all sorts of weird about it  Remember when she was smelling Naoki's towel  :har:

I was a little scared that they changed their production team, but if its as good as the original I'm good.

By the way guys Shay, unarchived the Itakiss Thread~

I'll be posting all Itakiss updates and info there from now on.

Yuki Furukawa: Following up with a rising young star

Furukawacrop.jpg

The actor’s popularity is growing in his native Japan, but he’s already found himself big in China.

When we first met Yuki Furukawa towards the end of 2012 he was just starting out as an actor after changing his mind about doing a master’s degree in engineering. Softly spoken, yet highly ambitious, he told us his goal was to try and emulate an actor like Ken Watanabe who had earned success on a global scale. Fast forward twelve months and Furukawa would appear to be on the right track.

Ok, so he is nowhere near Watanabe’s level just yet, but he already boasts quite an international following after his portrayal of Naoki Irie in the drama Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo. While not a massive ratings success in Japan, the latest installment of Kaoru Tada’s popular manga Itazura Na Kiss proved to be a huge hit with Chinese and Taiwanese audiences, particularly young females who seemed to love Naoki, the cocky yet charming high school student played by Furukawa.

The role earned him an army of Chinese fans and numerous offers to appear in magazines like Elle. After just four months on Weibo (China’s equivalent of Twitter) he had amassed over 600,000 followers. In July he held a fans meeting in Shanghai and was taken aback by the reception he received.

“At first it was a little bit strange,†he told Shanghai Daily. “To be frank I never realized I was so successful in China until I saw them there.â€

He will have to start getting used to it as his popularity there continues to soar. He has also recently become more well-known in his own country following roles in two movies: Beyond the Memories and The Eternal Zero. Offers of work will no doubt continue to flood in over the next twelve months. 2014 is set to be a big year for the 26-year-old.

YASSSS YUKI GET THAT RECOGNITION. THAT YEN TOO.  :ahmagah:

Oh and by the way guys I found this little "short movie" while looking at director Nagata's twitter.

Its called "我愛你 (Wo Ai Ni) in TOKYO"

Part 1

Part 2

And some parts are in English too! Basically the girl is from Taiwan, Yuki's character is obviously Japanese. They both like each other but the girl has to go back to Taiwan, so she won't tell him directly she likes him. Yuki's character is more tsundere so you know he's not saying anything. So when the girl wants to express her true feelings to him she'll act like she's talking on the phone with someone else but in reality she's actually talking to Yuki's character.

Watch it, its really cute  :chu:
