Should I reach out to him or ignore him like he is ignoring me :(

I met a guy and we became friends with benefits, I sorta begun liking him but I am almost 100% over him (or trying to be). We live in different cities, opposite sides of the country. When he dropped me off at the bus station he told me to keep in contact with him. Tried to but we have only talked three times this summer and 2/3 times I have initiated and he has stopped responding (even if I ask him a question :/). So I was planning on not reaching out to him unless he did... his bday is this Sunday, he claimed I wouldnt remember, so he isnt really expecting a congrats from my part (and he probs doesnt care). I was planning on not saying anything bc he hasnt responded AND bc I was not sure if remembering and reaching out to him (again) would be indicator of my feelings for him (which I really dont want him to find out). I had actually forgotten about it (last time we spoke was 3 weeks ago lol) but my roomie's boyfriend (who is both a friend of mine and my fwb) reminded me today and now I am feeling a bit bad about not saying anything. I dont want to, but I am not sure if that is being to immature of my part. So... what should I do :/

I had this fwb that I had a crush on.. I was really naive looking back, he only remembered to text when he wanted to and then took hours to reply back .. I wished him HB being the "nice" idiot that I am but he replied 2 days after and ofc never remembered my bday lol

I'd say when in these situations, do what I fk boy would do. No need for HBs and stuff (unless he wished you on yours)

Forget about him. Not worth your time or effort.

youll move on. find someone who cares.

don't wish him a happy birthday, don't

Been there done that. Forget him.

Thanks for the advice, sounds better than what I have received. I worded a part of my post wrong... he did eply but would stop responding after a few messages. However, I think the advice still stands. I wasnt planning on reaching out to him but my friends were telling me that I should... glad I have OH advice.

YOU NEED NEW FRIENDS!

Any friend that gives you that type of advice is no good. Friends are supposed to tell you what you should see but can’t.

Don't wish him a happy bday. He doesn't show interest so I think it's best to ignore him. Find someone who shows interest in you and puts in effort.
