I'm Asian American but this seems very foreign to me.

I grew up on the West Coast with bureaucrat parents.

Asian supermarkets are indoors like mainstream American supermarkets in Southern California. I think 99 Ranch has been operating for 30 years now.

And although I started on hip-hop and R&B, I mostly listen to alt-rock.

I'd watch it. It doesn't seem too far off from what I experienced growing up (of course some things are exagerrated for comedic effect) but loooool "Lunch special, but only if you buy a drink"

this.

but no ones gonna watch it cuz asians are in it though.

It looks like it could be funny. But it probably won't do well because they're Asian. I like the grocery mart scene though, lol. I think the only chance it has is to cater towards an Asian American audience. Which honestly from a personal point of view, it doesn't do this well because I couldn't relate to much. It seems like they were so careful in not using any stereotypes that in the end it wasn't a very accurate portrayal of fobs. Of course anything too stereotypical would be pretty boring and uncreative though. One way they could avoid the racism card is if the show was spearheaded by an Asian American team.

Not a big surprised that there aren't a lot of prominent Asian American sitcoms out. The last one was by Margaret Cho which done 20 years ago. And even further back was a series done by Pat Morita aka Mr.Miyagi in the 1970's.
