..When SNSD and KARA had 9 / 10 singles respectively in the first 3 years of their career..

(not counting Japanese releases of Mister and Jumping)

Even Red Velvet had 8 in their first 3 years

(not counting SM Station songs and ICC + Automatic counted as one)

So how come it's such a big problem when TWICE follow their own musical career path and release comeback singles more often than not?

Boy groups like BTS and EXO also released at least 9 leading singles in their first 3 years..

With the July comeback, this'll be TWICE's 9th leading single. So what's with the fake concern?

Because as far as I can see, the girls are only going up, they're making records in and out of Korea, and with each comeback they cement their reign as the NGG.

When someone stands on top of a mountain the easiest way to console oneself is to convince themself that there is something wrong with the climb. Did they cheat, was it easy, is that climb not an achievement? It is sad to see, because discrediting another doesnt help anyone. (Statement I was told by my father when I was in highschool and upset about the teams that won our volleyball tournament)

Red velvet had 7 comebacks since debut in their first 3 years not counting their debut track

The others were singles that had no promotions at all

Happiness, Be Natural, Ice Cream Cake, Automatic, Dumb Dumb, OOTN, Russian Roulette, Rookie, Red Flavour is 9 leading singles but yeah ICC and Automatic was a package deal

It's because they're very active in Japan (3 singles this year?) so they seem like they're coming back all the time. But Korean promotions they're just as active as other top girl groups.

I wish people complained about this for my faves...

Yeah, it's still a reasonable number too  But yeah in the lists I was just counting all leading singles but yeah I'll change number in OP but including debut

It's okay it's okay

1 - The japanese releases. Technically Twice only had 1 korean comeback this year but with Candy Pop and Wake Me Up it seems like a lot lol. They also released One More Time/Likey and What is Love/Wake Me Up pretty close from each other, which gives that "What? Already?" feeling lol.

2 - I think it all goes back to the timing of Knock Knock/Signal. KK was a repackage to TT but for some reason they only released it 4 months later. Then Signal, their actual comeback in April/May which they usually do along with October, ended up being only 2 months after that.

And in general, Twice is ALWAYS doing something, when it's not Korean or JP comebacks it's tour, end year shows or something lol. There's never calm times for onces.

I've heard several once say Twice comes back too often but y'all will be the first ones screaming they need rest when a member faints like those groups did for being overworked.

But that's none of my business.........

It's none of your business yet I see you in every TWICE thread imstupid.png

The fact that it's been almost 3 years and none of them fainted or something like that while groups who allegedly rest more have, just shows that they're not really being as overworked as non-fans act like they were lol.

twice is fine. a lot of the complaints come from people that are not even fans...there is no reason for them to care lol

though i will say that for bts some of singles i think you counted were follow up promotions for a b-side from an already released album or b-sides that were just performed the same comeback week like many popular groups do (young forever/save me along with fire). not saying you're wrong but it's not really the same as having a new release (album/single) the way most of twice's singles are so maybe that's why people don't see it as badly (or idk lol). i did see quite a few people in the past bring up bts' many releases and their need for rest, maybe not as many as for twice though

I know that in reality, people hope for Twice to faint so that they can justify their need more rest agenda. But for fans who actually attend their events live and follow their vlive it's obvious they're not tired at this point.

When and if they do get tired, yes true fans will be the first to call for rest. But it will still not justify all the calling for rest at this moment in time.

yeah i edited to add that quite a few people complained about bts needing rest, especially in 2015 (within their 3 years of being a group you counted). it wasn't specifically about their releases i think, just them working too hard. there was def fan and non-fan concern, but maybe it never was as big as for twice? it's died down a lot since then
