French chef and friend, Eric Ripert found him in his room where he was

unresponsive. He was in France shooting for his award winning show,

"Parts Unknown".

 

i'm so freaking sad. my condolences to his daughter and family.

I had so much respect for how he stood up for his girlfriend during the beginning of the MeToo movement. I read his book a few years back and I enjoyed how genuine and honest he was about the elite chef world.
