Oizumi Yo says he would never fall for a girl that's Nana Komatsu's age

While promoting the movie After the Rain on talk shows, hosts would often ask Oizumi Yô how he felt about being paired with a younger actress like Nana (22) and if in real life, would he fall for her character, Akira Tachibana. 

 

Yô (45) said that he prefers people who are within his age range, someone who he relates to in his life situation. He also shared that he met his wife who is 3 years older than him during college and has been in love with her since. 

 

Nana joked that he's more like her professor when they're on set. 

 

Both actors initially turned down the role due to the premise of the movie however, the director made it clear that they were not going to focus on making it a love story.
